The Tshwane University of Technology is happy to announce to the general public the opening of the online application portal for the 2026-2027 academic year. The online application portal for the 2026-2027 academic year opens in March 2025 and closes in September 2025. If you are looking forward to studying at TUT, APPLY NOW!!
The online application portal is open to first-time applicants and returning students looking forward to studying undergraduate, postgraduate and distance learning programs for the 2026-2027 academic year. To apply, kindly, visit the TUT official website and complete the online application form, upload supporting documents and submit to apply.
Prospective students are urged to apply early to secure their space as admission to the university is dependent on meeting the admission requirements and availability of space. All completed applications must be submitted before the closing date as late applications may not be considered for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The online application portal for the 2026-2027 academic year opens from 1 March 2025 to 30 September 2025 for most courses and 15 June and 31 July 2025 for select programmes. Click HERE for the TUT important dates and deadlines for 2026-2027.
Online Application Fee For TUT 2026-2027
A non-refundable application fee of R240 is required to apply online for the 2026-2027 academic year. Note that applications submitted without the required fee will not be processed.
Documents Required To Apply Online At TUT 2026-2027
Certified copies of the following documents are required to complete the TUT application for the 2026-2027 academic year;
- Proof of payment (R240 – application fee)
- Certified copy of your Identity Document/Card
- Certified copy of your National Senior Certificate or Final Grade 11 results (if currently in Grade 12).
TUT Online Application Procedure 2026-2027
To apply for the 2026-2027 academic year, please visit the TUT website at www.tut.ac.za and follow these steps:
- Click on “Apply Now” at the top right of the TUT homepage.
- Select whether you already have a student number or not.
- Indicate if you are returning to complete a previous application.
- Choose your qualification level (Undergraduate or Postgraduate).
- Review and accept the consent form by clicking “I Accept” to proceed.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your application.
- Submit your application for evaluation once all sections are finalized.
